Bande Artistique is a circus design and production company founded in 2007. Its mission is to initiate a highly original blend of various stage arts in a circus context. Their first production, Made in Quebec, was presented at the 2008 Montreal International Jazz Festival, and reprised at the 2008 International Rain Festival in Taiwan, where it won high praise from critics and audiences alike.
Their brand-new production Parfois, dans la vie, les choses changent (Sometimes in life, things change) puts a juggler and a soprano together on stage in a setting imbued with fantasy and clowning – the result of close collaboration with the creative clowning team of Christine Rossignol and Michel Dallaire from the Hangar des Mines in France. The show was presented at the Montreal Completement Cirque Festival, at La Tohu, la cité des arts du Cirque, and at le Festival d’été de Québec. The show starts touring in Canada, in France and in Japan in 2011.
